Counsel fees

    When aid is approved for counsel, counsel’s fees are paid direct to counsel by Legal Aid Queensland.

    In matters where counsel has been briefed in line with the practice and case management standards the preferred supplier firm should electronically redirect proforma invoices to counsel using Grants Online.

    It is the responsibility of practitioners to notify counsel of any conditions attached to a grant of aid.

    Counsel proforma invoices should be submitted to Legal Aid Queensland via the Grants Online system.
