This month:

Christmas closure period

Legal Aid Queensland’s offices will be closed for the Christmas/New Year holiday period from 2pm Friday 23 December 2022 and will re-open on Tuesday, 3 January 2023.

The LAQ IT Service Desk will be closed from 4pm on Friday 23 December 2022 and will reopen at 8am on Tuesday 3 January 2023. Emails sent to IT.Servicedesk@legalaid.qld.gov.au will not be monitored over the period.

Last payment run for 2022

Due to office closures during the Christmas/New Year period, the last legal payment for this year is Tuesday, 20 December 2022. All invoices due up to 2 January 2023 will be paid on this day.

The first payment run for 2023 will be on Tuesday, 3 January 2023.

Publications and resources

Legal Aid Queensland produces more than 100 publications and resources, from factsheets, to posters, brochures, wallet cards and comprehensive legal information guides on a range of topics. You can check out the publications on the Legal Aid Queensland website and they can be ordered online at no cost.
