Community Access Points
Community access points are local community organisations which people identify as a place they turn to for support in their town. They may be located in courthouses, neighbourhood centres, hospitals, council offices or Queensland Government agencies.
Community access points provide:
- a range of support services to the community
- information about our services; including a sample of our publications
- help to access free telephone legal advice.
Some community access points may have internet access or videoconferencing facilities.
We maintain regular contact with community access points through our regional network coordinators, providing them with access to a range of legal information materials to help people with legal problems. In turn, they help us to develop local solutions by giving us feedback about local needs and opportunities to provide community legal education.
