Investigate client's prospects of appeal against a sentence to the Court of Appeal. Fees payable on this grant are in accordance with the attached Proforma Invoices. Fees payable are for work done up to the maximum costs figure. Reasonable outlays will be paid. Receipts should be retained on file. (CMS)
Investigate prospects of appeal against a sentence to the Court of Appeal. Legal Aid Queensland does not appear for applicants in hearings seeking an extension of time within which to appeal. Please note that Legal Aid Queensland does not file the notice of appeal on your behalf. You must file the Notice of Appeal in the court within one calendar month from the date of sentence (where a plea was entered) or the date of conviction (after a trial). If a Notice of Appeal is not filed within one month, Legal Aid Queensland is unable to assist you unless you are able to obtain an extension of time within which to file the Notice of Appeal.
