Your client's application for aid has been referred to Legal Aid Queensland's Property Arbitration. Aid will be approved IF the other party involved agrees to participate. If the other party indicates that they will not participate in the program, your client can apply to have their application for Legal Aid reassessed. Funding is to be provided under the Commonwealth Lawyer-assisted Family Law Property Mediation Trial. Should this matter resolve at Arbitration and consent orders are filed, the Commonwealth requires legally assisted clients to pay a filing fee. Legal Aid Queensland will not pay this fee as part of this grant of legal aid. Your client must pay this fee to you or obtain a deferral of payment.

If the other party indicates that they will not participate in the program, you can apply to have your application for Legal Aid reassessed by emailing grants@legalaid.qld.gov.au. Should this matter resolve at Arbitration and consent orders are filed, the Commonwealth requires legally assisted clients to pay the court filing fee. Legal Aid Queensland will not pay this fee as part of this grant of legal aid. You must pay this fee in accordance with your solicitor's advice or obtain a deferral of payment. Funding is to be provided under the Commonwealth Lawyer-assisted Family Law Property Mediation Trial.
