Solicitor clause wording
Aid has been approved to represent your client to make an application to the Childrens Court to alter the record of sex.
This grant of aid includes:
- Initial advice to the client,
- Gillick competency assessment,
- Preparation of application documents and collation of supporting documents,
- Filing and serving the application (if applicable),
- Attendance at two mentions, and
- Attendance at the hearing in the Childrens Court.
This is a maximum fee grant of aid (including agents' fees). Claims can be made up to the maximum fees in accordance with the attached proforma invoices. Reasonable outlays will be paid. Receipts should be retained on file. The maximum fee payable on this invoice for disbursements is $50.

Legal Aid has ben granted for a solicitor to represent you in making an application to the Childrens Court to alter your record of sex pursuant to the Births, Deaths an Marriages Registration Act 2023.
This includes preparation and attendance at the hearing in the Childrens Court.
