Aid is approved to represent your client at a family dispute resolution conference convened by Legal Aid Queensland (Solicitor Only). This is a maximum fee grant of aid. Claims can be made for actual time spent up to the maximum. A Conference Organiser will contact you to arrange a date for the conference. A completed Solicitor Assessment Sheet must be forwarded to the Conference Organiser no later than 48 hours before the start of the conference. This form is available on the Legal Aid Queensland website. This grant of aid is inclusive of preparation for and attendance at conference, preparation of consent orders if required, and writing to your client confirming the outcome and any further options available.
Legal aid has been granted for you to be represented at a family dispute resolution conference convened by Legal Aid Queensland in relation to <!approved_matters!>. Conferences can be held at any stage, both before and after the start of court proceedings. If you are currently being represented to prepare for trial, this conference is in addition to this. Grants of legal assistance in family law matters are provided in stages. This stage allows for your solicitor to take your instructions, attend the dispute resolution conference, prepare consent orders (if consent orders are reached) and write to you confirming the outcome and any further options available. Tests apply for continued funding for further stages of the proceedings. The maximum fee Legal Aid will pay your lawyer for this stage is $750.00 plus disbursements of $25.00. Funding for parties in family law matters are subject to a cost cap. Refer to Guideline 18 – Family law costs management.
