Legal aid has been granted for solicitor and counsel to represent your client for $$ additional days of trial in the Family Law Courts. This is a maximum fee grant of aid. Claims can be made for actual time spent up to the maximum. Grants of legal assistance in family law matters are provided in stages. This stage allows for attendance at trial for solicitor and counsel. Funding for parties in family law matters are subject to a cost cap. Refer to Guideline 18 – Family law costs management.
Legal aid has been granted for your solicitor to attend $$ additional days of trial in the Family Law Courts. Grants of legal assistance in family law matters are provided in stages. This stage allows your solicitor and counsel to attend additional day/s of trial. The maximum professional fee Legal Aid Queensland will pay for your lawyer at this stage is $900.00 plus $1,224.00 for counsel per day. Funding for parties in family law matters are subject to a cost cap. Refer to Guideline 18 – Family law costs management.
Attendances Practitioners must claim for the actual time spent on a matter, up to the maximum allowable.
Counsel attendance at trial (family law) Counsel is only entitled to claim the court attendance fee for additional days of trial if the matter proceeds beyond day one of trial and they represent the client at the additional days of trial.
