Legal aid has been granted for counsel to prepare for your client’s adjourned or part heard trial in the Family Law Courts. This grant of aid is in addition to the trial preparation grant already provided and covers all work required to prepare for the trial. Funding for parties in family law matters is subject to a cost cap. Refer to Guideline 18 – Family law costs management.
Legal aid has granted further funding for counsel to prepare for your adjourned or part heard trial in the Family Law Courts. The maximum professional fee Legal Aid will pay counsel at this stage is $1,224.00. Funding for parties in family law matters is subject to a cost cap. Counsel preparationCounsel is entitled to the full amount of the preparation for trial grant if the brief was delivered to and accepted by counsel and preparation for trial was conducted.
