Legal aid may make a grant of legal assistance for external dispute resolution in limited circumstances. A grant of legal assistance will only be made available where: - no alternative services are available to assist the client to lodge or process their dispute within a reasonable period of time and - the matter is complex or - the particular circumstances of disadvantage of the client including: - the extent of the impact on the client - practical difficulties in self- representing make it appropriate.
