Legal aid is available to make an application for a domestic violence order where:
- An act of domestic violence has occurred and a domestic violence order is necessary or desirable to protect your client and/or their children from domestic violence, or
- The Queensland Police Service has commenced acting in an application on your client's behalf but are no longer able to act
