Legal aid has been granted pursuant to an order of the court, for you to represent your client in the Magistrates Court for summary trial where a protected witness will be cross-examined. This grant of aid allows you to take instructions, provide advice, liaise with the Crown and represent your client at a summary hearing (Day 1). You are required to advised LAQ by e-mail if at any time your firm is seeking leave to withdraw. If the matter is proceeding for a further day, an extension should be sought through Grants Online. This is a maximum fee grant of aid (including agents fees) and claims can be made on the attached proforma invoice. The maximum fee payable on this invoice for disbursements is $25.00
