Legal Aid hits the road to provide free family law advice to Julia Creek residents
Date 16 March 2021
Julia Creek residents can access free legal advice to help with their family law issues when Legal Aid Queensland’s team visits the area on Thursday.
Legal Aid Queensland’s Mount Isa-based family lawyer Nadja Sokolov Khelifi is one of the Western Queensland Justice Network (WQJN) team members hitting the road to connect local people with free legal help to answer their questions about family law.
“Our aim is to give rural Queenslanders a voice in the justice system, particularly those who live in areas where access to a lawyer can be difficult,” Ms Sokolov Khelifi said.
“Our team will be providing free family law appointments for anyone needing help with a family law problem, like separation, divorce, parenting arrangements for children and child support.
“Our service gives locals the chance to ask questions about their legal problems and get confidential advice from an experienced lawyer at our free face-to-face advice sessions.
“These half-hour appointments need to be booked, so If you need help with a family law problem, make sure you book to come and see us.”
