LONGREACH, Barcaldine and Winton residents can access free legal information and advice when Legal Aid Queensland’s team visits these areas in November.
Legal Aid Queensland’s Mount Isa-based lawyer Marcia Sullivan is one of the Western Queensland Justice Network (WQJN) team members hitting the road next month.
This team delivers some of Legal Aid Queensland’s regional legal service programs, to people living in Queensland’s central west region.
“Our aim is to give rural Queenslanders a voice in the justice system, particularly those who live in areas where access to a lawyer is difficult,” Ms Sullivan said.
“Our team will be running free advice sessions for anyone needing help with a legal problem,” Ms Sullivan said.
“Our free service gives locals the chance to ask questions about their legal problems and get confidential advice from an experienced lawyer.
“We provide advice across all areas of family and civil law including help with child support problems, separation, child protection, domestic violence issues, and consumer issues including insurance, debts and mortgage problems,” she said.
“So if you’ve got a problem, make sure you take the opportunity to come and see us.”
