Legal Aid hits the road to provide legal advice to regional residents
Date 19 February 2021
BOULIA residents can access free legal information and advice to help with their family law issues when Legal Aid Queensland’s team visits the area next week (25-26 February, 2021).
Legal Aid Queensland’s Mount Isa-based lawyer Nadja Sokolov Khelifi is one of the Western Queensland Justice Network (WQJN) team members hitting the road to connect local people with free legal help to answer their questions about family law.
“Our aim is to give rural Queenslanders a voice in the justice system, particularly those who live in areas where access to a lawyer can be difficult,” Ms Sokolov Khelifi said.
“Our team will be running a free family law education session for anyone needing help with a family law problem, like separation, divorce, parenting arrangements for children and child support.
“Our service gives locals the chance to ask questions about their legal problems and get confidential advice from an experienced lawyer at our free face-to-face advice sessions.
“If you need help with a family law problem, make sure you take the opportunity to come and see us.”
